Frequently Asked Questions

Hopefully this page will answer most of your questions.  If it doesn't, please call the studio and we'll be glad to help you! We're typically in the office Monday- Friday from 10am-6pm. 281-290-8868

How do I book a session?
New clients come to the studio for a brief portrait planning consultation. At this time we discuss what to expect, how to prepare, pricing, and wardrobe styling. You get to tour our fabulous studio and view the products we offer. The session fee is due at the time you schedule your photoshoot. This reserves the date and time  just for you. All session fees/retainer fees are non-refundable.

Does my session fee go towards my order?
No. Your session/retainer fee is to hold your date and time for your session and it is for the photographer's time and talent to create your portraits.

Is there a minimum order?
Every session requires a $500 minimum product purchase. There is an $800 minimum for extended family groupings.

Do you have payment plans?
Of course! We understand that professional photography is an investment and, because of that, we offer payment plans for your portrait order. The best part...we don't charge interest!

What kind of payment do we accept?
Cash, Check, Visa, Mastercard

What's the cancellation policy?
All of our session fees are non-refundable. However, with a 48 hour notice (or by 6pm on Friday for a Monday session) you may reschedule your session once. This reschedule must take place within one month of your original session date. Cancellations on the day of or no-shows will have to pay another session fee to schedule another appointment time.

What if I'm sick on the day of my session?
Things happen that are completely out of your control and we totally understand. We want you to stay home and FEEL BETTER! If you come sick, your photos won't turn out their best. Plus...we work around a lot of newborn babies and can't afford to be sick either. Give us a call and we'll reschedule you for a day when you are feeling better.

What's the best time of day for an outdoor session?
Lighting is everything!  The general answer is: sunrise or sunset.  However, some locations can be photographed at other times during the day depending on shade, buildings and direction of light.  We'll discuss all of these factors when setting up your session.

What happens if it rains on the day of my session?
Texas weather can change in an instant. We keep a vigilant eye on the weather radar if we notice there might be a chance of rain on one of our session days. Typically, we will make a call 1-2 hours before your session if we feel it need to be cancelled for rain. Of course, we will get you rescheduled as soon as possible.

How long does it take to get my photos?
After your session, we will schedule your reveal appointment. This appointment is done 1-2 weeks following your session depending on the season.  Depending on products purchased, it will take 3-7 weeks to complete your final order.  Everything is custom so we want to make sure to take the time to do it right!

Reveal Ordering Appointments:
Your photo reveal will take place 1-2 weeks following your appointment in our theater room. This appointment only happens once! Anyone who is a decision maker for your final order will need to be at this appointment. You will be purchasing your portraits at this time. There is a $100 fee for additional reveal appointments.

Is a rush order available?
Yep.  If you need your portraits very quickly, we can put a rush on your portrait order for an additional charge.

Do you offer retouching?
Of course! Hiring a professional photography studio means every image that is purchased is fully retouched. Nothing leaves the studio without being perfect! Brace removal or unusually request may incur an artwork fee.

Can I get digital images on disk?
We value printed products and believe it’s a disservice to you to only sell digital images. However, you can earn digital copies or they can be purchased separately.

Can I bring a pet to my session?
Yes.  We don't allow animals into the studio, but we will certainly do photos of you and your pet outdoors. You'll need to have someone available to take Fido home after their portion of the session.

Can I go somewhere far away for my photos?
Absolutely! We love the beach, ghost towns, etc... Hawaii would be great!  (Someone please pick Hawaii) There is of course an extra charge for traveling out of our normal local shooting area BUT we will go anywhere you'd like!  The cost of travel is based on how much extra time we'll be away from the studio.  Let us know where you want to go and we'll tell you how much.
