Why Professional Halloween Photos Are Worth It | Spring, TX
Cristie Reddehase
Halloween is full of fun memories—choosing the perfect costume, carving pumpkins, and decorating the house. One of my favorite memories was riding in the back of my dad’s truck going door to door for trick-or-treating. As soon as we got home, my sister and I would spread out all of the candy on the dining room table to see what we got.
More Than Just a Picture in a Costume
Kids put so much excitement into choosing their Halloween costumes. One year, they might be a superhero, the next, a princess, a dinosaur, or their favorite storybook character. Each costume captures a little glimpse of who they are at that age.
Professional portraits let you preserve those details—their favorite characters, their expressions, their personalities, and all the little things you might otherwise forget. Professional Halloween photos are a wonderful way to hold on to a little piece of that magic. My mom hand sewed a lot of our costumes and I would love to have great pictures of them today.
Watching Them Grow, One Halloween at a Time
One of my favorite things about photographing children is getting to see them grow up. Some families return year after year, and it is such a joy to look back at their portraits and see how much has changed.
These sweet kiddos have been coming to Silver Image Photography for years! Looking back through the images is a reminder of just how quickly childhood passes. The costumes change, the smiles change, and little personalities grow—but each portrait holds a memory of that particular moment in time.
These are the kinds of photographs that become even more meaningful as the years go by. What starts as a fun Halloween tradition can turn into a collection of memories your family will treasure for a lifetime.
Make Professional Photos a Tradition
Between busy schedules, costume preparations, and all the excitement of Halloween, finding time to take a great photo can be harder than it sounds. Phone snapshots are wonderful for capturing everyday moments, but professional portraits offer something a little different.
They are a great way to celebrate Halloween and become a fun tradition!
Halloween Mini Sessions are October 28, 29, and 30, 2026. Sessions are 15 minutes and include three professionally retouched digital images for $75.
If you are in Spring, Tomball, The Woodlands, or the surrounding Houston area, I would love to help you preserve this year's Halloween memories.
